It must really torture you, BlackIrish, when you see an East European fighter win, since you hate them so much.
      WHAT?! hahaha.

the guy is 27! If you consider that 'young', then you may as well have included Pavlik or Cotto.

also, I cant find where it says that Alexeev won a Silver Medal.

      can you show me?

You must have edited my post when you quoted it!

He won Silver in the world amateur tournament in ****kok in 2003, and Gold in the world amateur tournament in China in 2005. He spelled his name a little differently then.

He's about the same age as Gamboa, and has a similar amateur pedigree. Yet you didn't complain about me putting Gamboa on the list - why?

you crack fiend, all I did was press 'reply'. you post clearly says it has been edited, dont try to switch things around. Its ok if you got mixed up, everyone does every once in a while.

Gamboa is an actual gold medalist, is younger, and has faced better competition overall, especially because of his win over Darling Jiminez. as of yet, Alex has beaten nobody of note that wasnt old or coming off horrible losing streaks.
and I still dont find Gamboa to be ATG material.

I criticized Solis, if that makes you feel better. after all, the guy is 28, and has fought nobody of note as of yet. I think it would be pretty close to a miracle if he was ever considered an ATG at the end of his career.

being an Olympic gold medalist only is really good if youre a really young guy. I mean, youll see some guys win Gold Medals and then youll never hear about them again in the pros. The Olympics are the highest form of amateur competition...but its still the amateurs.

Gamboa has the most potential, his speed and reflexes are genuinely ATG level.

All he has to do is learn to box.
