Check Margs resume before Cintron, and you'll see it is littered with JW's who came to welter. didn't he just beat golden johnson lol. Cotto could've fought Margs in his WW debut, why didn't Arum call for that fight? Because he is a phony. He didn't have 8 mil to give floyd. He had his rep to protect. Ive said it before and I'll say it again: Margarito has lost to lesser fighters than Cotto, and Cotto has already beat fighters better than Margarito.

I will say that I am not that impressed with Cotto's preparation... he prepares well for every fight, and I am certain that this fight is no different.

Margarito is a tough customer, but Cotto CLEARLY has better skills and is much more versatile. Anyone who cannot admit that is blind

Cotto has been able to KO three guys that hurt him & the one guy who dropped him. Margarito has been down three times and I don't think he would have stopped all those guys.

The Puerto Rico Boxing Commission mandates that local fighters get weight-in one month prior to the fight. There wasn't anything on Cotto until these recent days due to this.

I agree. A couple things I'm not hearing though is the fact that Cotto seems to be getting better with each fight. His defense is better, his boxing is better. He look good against Mosely.. outboxing Mosely at times. Also Cotto gets up for big fights and has fought more TOP 10 welterweights than any other welterweight. With the exception of Cintron Margarito has looks good only against lesser opponents but against Paul Williams Margarito was getting his ass whupped for most of the fight. So we will see how he performs against one of the TOP welterweights. My guess is that we will see how good Margarito is not. He simply hasn't proven himself and potential is not enough against Cotto.

Cotto and his team are showing the right type of confidence. Not overlooking him but knowing they have the advantage in overall skills.

And having sparred with a 6 foot tall jr.middleweight, they're covering the size disadvantage.

Cotto will beat that ass.
