Purritty and Brewster 1 were cases of Wlad punching himself out and Sanders was a case of Wlad being careless and getting caught. Unlike Lewis Wlad had the heart to keep getting up.

That was before Manny taught Wlad to pace himself and fight at a distance using the jab. The old Wlad was a brawler who didn't take advantage of his size and protect his chin (which is not great) thinking he could just walk through everybody. Manny has improved Wlad as much as he did Lewis and when all is said and done there careers will be very comparable.

I don't need to. I think it's unfair to howl about a loss to Ross Puritty who isn't really a bad fighter but absolutely is a journeyman. But my comments are largely in response to the bull**** from Wladimir's fanclub who will make precisely the same arguments about Wlad's rivals. I'm not so much bashing the Klitschkos as holding up a mirror.
