This is getting scary...seriously, what is wrong with Ross Greenburg? Ugh. **** HBO and most definitely, **** Golden Boy.
HBO's "Golden" Agenda Lands on Calzaghe vs. Jones?

GBP is fast becomin a ****in monopoly. Roy won't have any of it tho. And the fight between him and Joe C is better and more important than Casa-JMM, even tho I wanna see that fight too. If forced to make a choice, the LHW title fight gets my pick all day. The whole GBP/HBO thing is gettin scandalous.Comment

This is not about what card is more important, it's about a promoter having complete control of the premiere network, so much so that they are attempting to promote fights that have nothing to do with them...and the network is backing them up!
Absolutely, positively, DISGUSTING.Comment

I dont understand whats the problem with this. Instead of having two expensive ppvs, theyre gonna condense it into one.
Roy Jones vs Joe Calzaghe and Marquez vs. Casamayor is one of the best cards Ive seen in a while. although admittedly, these fights are nice looking but might not end up being that exciting.
on the other hand, itll draw a lot of fans. lots of different ethnic groups represented, haha.Comment

More of the same politico in Boxing...
Whoever said that Calzaghe is not proven needs to do just a little bit of homework. He won and has remained undefeated, which is something NONE of the other fighters can say. He's been fighting in a division that just got shine (via US Jeff Lacy), and has unified and released the crowns at 168. Did you forget he is now the Ring LtHwt Champ? Against Jones, this is a no brainer PPV, worth its money in the signing.
Casamayor v. Marqez??? What kind of BS mismatch is that? Casamayor just KO'd a solid Ltwt, and Marquez left his power at 126. Besides, the Casa/Campbell stalemate was supposed to mean the loss of Casamayor's Interim WBO title, so does that mean that Marquez comes up in weight and gets to fight the Ring Ltwt Champ? Huh??? Oh yeah, ODLH owns Ring Magazine... I guess he owns US too.
Don't get me wrong; I think Casamayor is the best professional boxer to come out of Cuba, but he is not PPV material. Neither is Marquez.
Let me know your thoughts!Comment
