VERSUS Commentators are THE WORST in ALL OF SPORTS!!!

God, these guys couldn't be more critical if they wanted to be.

Constantly bitching and moaning and complaining. I haven't watched one fight on their network that went past 5 or 6 rounds that they didn't complain about.

its ridiculous.

If i were a promoter i would keep my guys off that network like the plague, cause they would just get criticized to the point where the fans don't wanna see them again.

Wally Matthews is the worst of all boxing commentators - he sounds like he hates the sport! He's very negative about all the fighters, to the point where it becomes very annoying. It reduces one's enjoyment of the fight.

Charles seems better on Shobox when he's working with someone else, but Matthews drags him down into his negativity when they work together on Versus.

Versus needs to get rid of Wally Matthews.

Matthews has always been an arrogant piece of ****, but has since morphed into a miserable, even whiny, **** of a man. I despised him when he covered boxing for the NY Post, but admired his morals when he left them over the bull**** they pulled with Mike Piazza once upon a time. But he's long ago milked that moment.

There was once a rumor that he'd eventually join Bob Papa on Boxing After Dark. Now, Papa's my favorite current announcer (any sport), but I'd hate to see them reunited, just for the fact that Matthews brings down any broadcast.

That said, I've always liked Nick Charles, though I have to admit he appeared to let Wally influence his opinion a bit tonight. He stood his ground for a while, but eventually conceded - perhaps just flat out gave in - but it affected his broadcast tonight. He even flubbed a few facts as well. I like Charles and Farhood as a team on ShoBox.

BTW, Farhood and Charles are damn good together, and Farhood is a hoot away from the ring, he can be very funny, I like him alot, he cracks me up! I have worked with both of them several times over the years...

Wally Mathews is the worst. He is a true cry baby. He was on his way up until they found out he was a weasel. Her thinks he knows it all, and is a low budget Larry Merchant. One more thing. Didn't Al Bernstein and Steve Albert do a terrible job commentating the Miranda-Abraham fight? They had the AA bias kind of going on lol. Abraham had to make them fans, and he did in the end. Al and Steve are always on the money. They missed what the ref was doing the while fight, they thought Abraham was trying to steal points. I'm like, hat happened to these guys? I'll give them a pass, but watch that replay of Abraham-Miranda II. Check it out for yourself.
