    ****** MMA fan

I got in an arguement with this kid who likes mma and i thought i was gonna ****ing lose it. I mean i like mma its entertaining and all i watch it i have nothing against it, but the fans are ****in ******ed the kid was trying to say that submissions are more exciting then knockouts, and other bull**** like that.

This isnt a post trying to diss MMA like I said i like it, this is a post to diss the typical MMA fan.

Submissions can be more exciting than knockouts, it all depends on one's personal preferences. Personally I would say that there are more or less exciting cases of both.

Hey man some people dig subs more than KOs, its just a matter of taste.
And to be fair, 5 years ago the typical MMA fan was generally also a boxing fan, and very well educated on the sports and most of us trained.
Its just the big MMA boom that has turned lots of dump ****s into MMA fans, but thats not really where to sports roots are, for what thats worth.
The OG MMA fans, like myself, arent like that at all.

Ok i know some people like submissions but I dont really care abuot that I'm just complaining about the ignorance of these people. But you cant honestly say a typical person would rather see someone get submitted then knocked out. And I like mma i said that before i guess you guys didnt read it.

I have found that the typical MMA fan is ****** as ****. Not all of them, but generally speaking.

Went to this sports bar the other day that is a huge MMA joint....lol, cowboy hats, rednecks, inbreds, etc. I overheard some conversations, they typically went like this, "Me hungry. Waitress, food bring me. I like big guy hit little man face, in. ummmm."

guys i have a question id appreciate it if you could answer it for me,

what is the typical mma, is it just guys who are there to see a street fight and hopefully see someone get the **** beat out of them.

from the mma events i have seen on tv, the impression i get is that the people at the event dont seem to appreciate the technical aspect of the sport and if there isnt punches being thrown or ten seconds without action the place is usually ringing with boo`s.

so what is the actual crowd like at mma events? maybe i have the wrong impression.

im not say saying all fans are like this, of course there are people who appreciate and understand the technical aspect.

Coming from a grappling background, I can say if a submission is perfectly executed or unique, it can be up there with a beautiful KO.

Depend on the area. If you had a show in SoCal or Ohio. you'd possibly have a high amount of people who know and understand the sport. Texas and Montreal would be a bit even and New Jersey is flat out full of ****. England is too hard to judge yet.

But you're right, with the boom, there has been a rise in ******* activity and the best we can do is explain and either get through to them or just wait it out till they lose interest. It's usually split between guys who scream about stuff hitting the ground and others who say all the fights are fake.
