Does it really matter???? Didn't Calzaghe persue a fight with Jermain Taylor coming to america. Was Taylor any more vocal then Pavlik??? I don't think so.

Bottom line is....whether Arum is saying it or Pavlik himself, Kelly would take this fight at 168 or 175. If Arum wants it, Kelly wants it. It's all on Joe Calzaghe and he made the choice to go after the presumingly easier fight thinking ROy is way past it.

Thing is, I think Pavlik is stylistically an easier fight and he would get more credit from the fans for beating him then RJJ - who I think even today is a tougher fight. I have RJJ beating the ****sexual puncher by Unaminous decisiion.

He's had ONE ****ing fight away from SMW and he planned ONE more ****ing fight before he calls it a day. It's a bit late in the day to start citing weight issues as a reason for this fight not to take place. I'm sure Calzaghe could hit 168 one more time, or like I said, a catchweight.

Have you watched the video? It is JOE who brings up Kelly, and now suddenly he doesn't want any part of it. The point is that a suitable compromise could be reached seeing as Joe envisioned the fight too. It's not a case of Pavlik chasing someone who never wanted to ever do with him. Joe was looking into it too. I'm sure Joe could fight at, say, 170.

I'm sorry but if you think weight is the only, or main, reason isn't taking place, then you're clueless.

Joe's going for the easy fight and the easy money.

If we're so utterly ****** thinking this fight could take place despite the weight difference, then what the **** is Joe Calzaghe, seeing as it is HE who is discussing an contemplating the fight?

And it's not from years ago, it's a video from before his last fight.

Open your ****ing eyes. Joe HIMSELF brings up Pavlik. Wasn't weight an issue then?

      **** sake.

Thank you. It needed to be said, and you beat me to it.

I've already explained my take on the situation. Negotiations hit a stumbling block. You can take the hysterical route and say he is ducking him or you can try the objective approach and realise that various factors have got us to the stage we are at.

I'm not going to waste any more time debating this issue because you have your view and I have mine and neither of us are going to revise our opinion so on that note...goodnight!

Pavlik was a second option and leverage to make Jones take the fight. Since a fight with Roy is worth 2-3 times what a fight with Kelly would make, it's an easy choice for JC.

Yeah, you sound like a serious jerk who had his ass kicked a bunch of times with your degenerate cursing. The video was made BEFORE he fought Hopkins. I could see if he said it after the Hop fight. So you can keep on cursing until you lungs collapse degenerate, and play the part of a Pav fan. Tell that bumper car headed dude to fight Abraham. Abraham has a video out. He said PAv's name, and we still haven't heard from Peyton Manning head.

It's simple though, RJJ is the bigger name and generates more £/$.

He fought at the weight for years, I'm sure he could do it again. Although I'm sure a catchweight could be found.
Why would Calzaghe figh at a catch weight? He is holding a title at 175. If PAv issued the challenge, then go to 175. Don't ask for a catch weight when you call somebody out. Abraham didn't ask for a catch weight when he called out PAv. Pav fans think Pav is bullet proof. His next fight not only shows that Arum is a pig, PAv won't even say Abraham's name. Say his name Pav, Abraham said yours. Make a name for yourself, and stop looking for the name. We need more than a Taylor win. He couldn't fight inside, Abraham can box and fight you on the inside. Pav fans talking about a video he made BEFORE he fought Hop lol. Comical.

Aren't you the mong who refers to himself continually refers to himself in the third person? Spare me the etiquitte tips.

That video, in boxing terms, isn't that long ago at all. What happened after Hopkins that made Joe not want to fight Pavlik?

I just have a problem with people bringing up the weight issue, and acting like people are ******s for even considering a Calzaghe Vs Pavlik fight, when Joe HIMSELF said it before the Hops fight. He knew he was moving up in weight, yet didn't mention this being a problem.
