Wheres the hype for Andre Ward?

Ward is hella young, an olympic gold medalist, and undefeated. He has a good style, quality jab, and a great inside fight game. I hear this and that about Gamboa who is in the same boat but ward hardly gets any talk. Gamboa gets a primetime hbo slot while Ward is still stuck on showbox.WTF? When we speak of up and comers from america the Peterson brothers seem to be brought up before this guy. I dont understand why Ward isnt getting any love. What you guys think?

Poor management! I don't think Ward has gotten yet the better part of his boxing career! Very unfortunate!

i think hes had perfect management. his opponents have been perfect. sure he could have had a couple more bums in there to pad his record. i think it would just be nice if he was fighting on HBO over showtime. thats the only thing really.. it would have made a huge difference.

I think he has had great management. brought along very carefully, but look where its got him in terms of skills

The transition from Amatuer Boxing to Professional boxing is a MUCH bigger leap then it was 15-20 years ago.

              These things take time now.

And plus, he has a pretty boring style that wasnt gonna get him any attention either way.

I think Ward has had some injury problems. Also his management might have slowed him down when he was hurt by a couple of inferior fighters early in his career.

I remember watching him against a fighter named Kenny Kost. Kost rocked him bad with something...Ward was looking pretty sad, but he proceeded to beat the **** out of him the rest of the fight.

Ravelo and Williams were pretty decent wins. He seems to be on that fringe contender status now. Maybe he'll be ready for the better contenders in a few fights.

I think Ward is going to have a great career but since he doesn’t have a lot of "hype" around him (not necessarily a bad thing by the way) it will take him winning a big fight in order to get people's attention.

I like him a lot and he is one of my favorites so he has at least one big fan.
