Arum, Manny Pacquiao Eye Juan Manuel Marquez Trilogy

Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank see a trilogy bout between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez as something that has to happen if both fighters continue to win. He could even see the fight taking place in early 2009. [details]

That fight needs to happen, it's one of the best fights to be made in boxing for sure.

I could see them fight 10X

I dont like how the Campbell/Guzman winner keeps getting left out. These guys have unfinished business though.

I guess this means a Pac-Hatton fight gets pushed to the backburner. Then again, if Hatton beats Malignaggi and Pac can top Diaz and Marquez again, a fight between the two is as big as it can get. But there are so many variables that have to work out, but I guess Arum feels it's worth the risk...

The Campbell/Guzman winner will probably fight the Diaz/Katsidis winner.

I'd like to see a third fight happen sometime next year, it would be another good one.

Well with a win over Casamayor, JMM could get that third Pac fight. The first fight was a draw, the second fight was extremely close, so it only makes sense there is a third fight. Even though now there is a whole bunch of good fights that can be made in the LW division.

the rematch did 500K+ buys. it makes no business sense for this fight not to happen and it just so happens that it is actually an exciting fight. you dont get many of those at that level anymore.
