I know there are definately different sides of the argument. Max Kellerman always said that Juan Diaz wasn't the champion at 135 (before he lost), because Casamayor beat Corrales at 135, and that makes him the champ!
Currently though, Arthur Abraham just beat a dangerous (albeit limited) fighter in Edison Miranda and kind of legitimized his middleweight title as something more than paper, at least in my mind.
Then again, Kelly Pavlik beat Jermain Taylor, who beat Bernard Hopkins, who is obviously the real champion of the division at the time.
Do you think Arthur Abraham is more of a champion in the middleweight division than just a paper champion, or do you reserve the title champion at 160 entirely for Kelly Pavlik?
Did you recognize Juan Diaz as more than a paper champion, or did you feel like Casamayor was the only champion?
Mayweather or Cotto?
Let's hear it!
