He let his fans down by retiring without facing any of the current top welters and he even let some of his haters down too. We all knew that he'd catch the zero if he had. I would have much rather see him get an l then quit. Atleast he would have went out like a true champion and not a fighter that just wants to protect his 0. His fans must be so iiritated with him. I know I would be. Good thing thier are fans like Dwiens who saw the light before Floyd retired. others like Boof will never except reality.. Anyways this topic has over stayed it's welcome. Good bye Floyd. Im not a fan of your rapping nor do I watch wrestlin so I will probably never see you perform again. Adios and good luck homay.

leave it alone.. he's already beaten top fighters.. look at his resume.. castillo, hernandez, manfredy, oscar, hatton, judah, corrales, etc.. let him do what he wants to do.. he has noting to prove to anyone and he's done what few boxers will ever be able to accomplish.. you probably keep making these threads about him because deep down you like him and want him to come back

Boxing has a bright future ahead, the absence of Floyd will only improve the sport.

            I agree.

Really, I'm going to try my hardest to avoid talking about Floyd at 147... I think there can still be some value in discussing Floyd at 130 or something similar to that (we had a good conversation about it yesterday, comparing his resume and talent to Nelson & Arguello).

But really, this Mayweather-Cotto thing is just being beaten to death by this board, and there really isn't anything more to say. Any theory you can come up with for Floyd ducking or not ducking has probably already been discussed on here, so please everyone... let it go. It's over.

This is a boxing forum, so let's talk about things that are happening in boxing now, or things that have happened in the past, but not things that will never be. Deal?

Boxing will surely benefit from the absence of that cringing coward in your avatar.

Floyd has accomplished more than Scary Joe could in 100 years.

I do have to say that if he was just going to fight rematches against people he already clearly beat, then he wasn't really doing his P4P title justice.

I'd even take him fighting Berto or Quintana over either rematch. Just a new and worthy challenge... please!
