I was looking through some fight tapes the other day and I one of them I had some old FNF stuff on it. Max has been a great commentator on HBO, atleast during the fight. Im a fan but I havent liked him in the post fight interviews anymore then I like Merchant who I hated. Alot of people didnt like Max's commentating 1st but I think even they would admit that he's gotten alot better. However, this thread is about FNF. He was so great on there. I think people forget how much better it was. Brian Kenny sucks. Having guest fighters is fun but no one gets hyped like Max does. He can boost a fight so much and it was just a much livelier show when he was on it. Man it was cool seeing that

What i used to hate is that he had a hidden agenda agianst spanish fighters mainly Mexican, this has changed drasticly or maybe he pays equal attention to Mexican boxers now. And another thing i used to hate is he over rates fighters way to quickly. He still does this but im kind of used to it now. I know hardcore boxing fans don't like him much, but the casual boxing fan think he's great and like you said bring the hype to better the fight.

What are you guys talking about "going back"? He's on HBO like once every other month. At the most he gets to do 1 show a month. He can easily do both. Dont forget that he didnt leave for HBO. He left for ESPN & Fox where he was doing a daily show but thats over. Also, doesnt he still have a ESPN radio show or is that just his own? Either way he still certainly has enough time to do both and I think he would love to do it

What? Kenny is a great commentator. He's great in the studio and surprised me how well he does the blow by blow.
