Make the Fight Happen!!

Kicking a man when he’s down can happen quite often these days but not necessarily in a literal sense.
It’s been reported from various sources in recent times that the brother of Arthur Abraham, Alexander Abraham not only taunted a dazed Edison Miranda as he was receiving medical attention following his knockout loss to the “King” but also kicked him while he was down. While there has been no video evidence as to the validity of this occurrence, there have been many reputable sources that have confirmed this de****able action.
It’s a disgusting incident on par with James Butler’s sucker punching of Richard Grant following their bout.
It’s a disgusting incident on par with Mike Tyson’s voracious appetite for Evander Holyfield’s ear.
There’s nothing like payback in the form of a thorough ass kicking and it’s exactly what boxing fans want to see happen to Alexander Abraham. The great thing about boxing is that this type of violence can actually occur legally without the repercussions of jail time or court dates. Justice can be found in the ring and more specifically with a young, hungry, starving, ready to eat two weeks ago contender going by the name of James Kirkland.
Kirkland has shown a ferocity that’s on-par with any of the other “killers” in the sport of boxing such as Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, or even Manny Pacquiao. He’s a relentless southpaw slugger that enters the ring with one and only one intention… pain.
While some people might state that showcasing Kirkland vs. Abraham might actually be rewarding the Armenian for his de****able actions, for better or worse, it’s a storyline that could capture the imagination of the general public and create a “hero” type character for American boxing. As much as we hate to admit it, we as humans enjoy revenge. We like to see justice served, an eye for an eye, blood for blood, and guys perceived as “bad” getting their heads bashed in.
It’s human nature my friends.
Muhammad Ali made a living off of people wanting to see his face bashed in for his outrageous comments and actions.
Same with Prince Naseem Hamed.
Yes, it might be a bit different as both of those men generally engaged the public in light-hearted taunts that eventually worked them up into a frenzy but the overall feeling of anger was very similar.
Someone call team Kirkland.
Two undefeated prospects… one 21-0 with 15 Kos, the other 22-0 with 19 Kos. Most of the time boxing must stretch in order to create and manufacture a somewhat intriguing storyline. This one is already on the table, on a silver platter, pre-cut and ready to be devoured.
I guarantee that as soon as Kirkland-Abraham is signed, the general fans of boxing will automatically jump on the Texan’s bandwagon in the hopes of seeing him literally decapitate the “King’s” brother.
It’s something that the average person can understand and become interested in without a deep understanding of boxing as a whole.
