Who hits harder? Pavlik or Roy Jones Jr?

I just saw a thread that claimed Calzaghe was scared of Pavlik's power. So I'm curious what you guys think. I realize that Roy's getting older, but he still has a lot of handspeed and I think still has quite a bit of power. Add that he's a LHW and Pavlik is a MW, and I think you have to give Roy the edge.

I think raw power goes to Pavlik, Jones relies on speed for his power.

I think if Roy was to load up on his punches as much as Kelly does he would probably have more power. However, given the styles that the two fight with, I would give Pavlik the edge. So basically, I think Roy can hit harder but Kelly does actually hit harder.

Roy is a lot bigger and has fought at much bigger weights, However he doesn't seem to punch full power anymore ...

I don't know. Pavlik is a very good finisher and Roy isn't anymore, but it seems to me that Kelly hurts guys with an accumulation of punches, that he doesn't really have one punch concussive KO power.

It seemed like Roy could have finished Tito, But looked to be holding back a bit, Toying with him instead of getting him out.

Well yeah, I think Roy carried Tito in much the same way as he's carried a lot of other opponents in the past. But I still think he carries some pretty serious pop. He's a little afraid of loading up and leaving himself open to a counter, but say against Calzaghe, he might not have that much to worry about and let it all go.

this shouldn't even be a debate. roy has 1 punch ko power, pavlik doesn't. pavlik relys on breaking his opponent down with multiple punches. you'll never see pavlik knock a guy down all of a sudden with one punch. Lockett doesn't count cuz he just took knees for god knows what reasons.
