Don't you wish the ref wouldnt stop it sometimes?

Ali would have lost to foreman if the rumble in the jungle took place in 2008.

    Why?

Because the ref would have flapped and stopped the fight in the 4th or 5th round, especially with foremans power.

With stoppages becoming more and more common i cant help but believe 'boxing comebacks' are harder and harder to achieve.

What do you people think? Stoppages happen too commonly? Or are they about right?

      I saw the thread title...

I saw you were the last one to post in it...

Then a voice in my head said "come the **** on"...

And I was 100% confirmed that it was going to be a ****** post about Mayweather-Hatton.

You are literally the only person who thinks that fight would go to Hatton had the referee been different.

Sometimes i wish the ref WOULD stop it though.

I'd rather have it be early than late.

not true, I get lots of reps telling me they agree. More people would speak truth but there are too many ****** Americans on here shouting them down

i have no problem with most stoppages at the moment, id prefer to see it stopped then have a guy taking too many shots and maybe affect him in the long run.

Sometimes, yes. I also wish the corner or the physician would have stopped some fights when their fighter was taking a lot of punishment.

And Ali vs Foreman wouldn't have gotten stopped because Ali wasn't taking too many punches to the head and was countering really well off the ropes.

a good ref qould see that ali was blocking most of the blows and was only shaken a few times. a good ref would also see that ali was landing nice clean blows all through the fight
