I believe Mayweather was heading towards the decline stage anyway. I noticed some lost in his foot speed, he had no use of the jab and he has also been getting hit more. A peak mayweather would have systematically broken Oscar down and stopped him, not lose a split decision. Mayweather made the right choice.
