You're missing the point. I'm responding to someone who claims Pavlik's power only looked impressive because these guys he fights gas quickly. While that may even be true, the fact is none of them had been knocked out. I never said the Lockett win was impressive, but you will at least have to admit that Kelly's sheer power looked impressive in the way he demolished Lockett, a guy with a reputation for having a solid chin. Same solid chin his previous 5 opponents had, and he knocked them all down(except for Taylor II, but he still knocked a guy out in Taylor who was thought to have a very solid chin)

Acually, I think Miranda won the first fight decisively. Barring the point deductions of course. He had Abraham hurt several times in the fight and broke that jaw. It was a blatant German robbery with all that low blow crap. 2-3 points should have been taken and he should have won more rounds. Thats home cooking for ya.

Pavlik by UD I'll go for. Just because if the fight was going to finish by KO I wouldn't know who to pick so i'll go for Pavlik by Decision cos I think he'll throw more.

kelly also fights much more on the outside, and is not gonna get caught like miranda did. abraham will get no rest and may gas himself. he also throws very wide, looping, and off balance shot that leave him wat too open. i see kelly winning late, or ud in a grueling fight.

That was probably me, since I've been saying that a lot. You make a fair point about them not having been KOd before, and I'm not saying that Pavlik doesn't have good power, he does. I just think that there has been a bit of a gap between the perception of how good Taylot and Miranda are and how good they actually are, and that that gap has flattered Pavlik a little.

He is good, and I hope he gets better, I just don't think he's really the P4P guy that some make out.

miranda is not good, he is garbage minus a good punch! dangerous is the best term for edison. taylor is a good fighter, and gets **** all respect from most. whether u think he beat bhop, or drew winky, or lost, he was right there, and more than held his own. taylor did better against bhop than anyone else minus roy. that says alot to anyone who knows anything about this game.

I don't agree with that. I don't think Taylor looked very impressive at all in either Hopkins fight. As I've posted many times before, to me it looked like he won by default over a Hopkins who could no longer find MW workrate and needed to move up. Taylor didn't do anything special in either fight, its just he did more than Hopkins, and I think that had more to do with Hopkins than him. You could say the same about Calzaghe, but in that case at least Calzaghe was trying to force the fight pretty relentlessly, and was never smacked around in the way taylor was late on in both.

I'm not saying Taylor isn't decent, but he clearly is not the incredible fighter some think, and beating him alone does not make Kelly pavlik great.

no im just saying, he said pavlik softened up miranda for abraham and i said it can work both ways and you could just as easily say that abraham softened miranda up for pavlik.

im not saying thats true just you can swing things either way

who looks good against bhop?????????? bhops workrate is no better that he moved up! calz tasted the canvas. can't say the same about taylor. taylor is a very good fighter, and saying anything less shows me ur not very knowledgeable, and not worth debating with.
