british help needed please

how do i view the top boxing fights, do i just need sky sports ???? or are there any other channels available with better boxing on ???

Hi mate efectivley sky sports is the main channel for boxing, if you get sky you also get Eurosport that has a lot of top germamn bouts on but best to watch those with the sound down. The commentators drive me nuts.

Sky boxing is mainly on at 10 pm on a friday night on Sky sports one. Ringside the round up of action is usally on around 9 pm on a thurs night. Channel Sky sports 1 /2/3 varies.

Occasionally we get ppv through sky for the big events and sometimes this will work out cheaper than ordering trhough HBO for example the BHop Oscar fight was 11.95 about 20 bucks whereas I believe HBO wanted 60.

However sky is 45 quid a month for all the channels so it doesnt pay you back. (Maybe you can get a "chipped box?)

BBC also shows some fights but these are more on a monthly basis and at around midnite on a fri or sun night. (tho the sun night shows are US superfights)

Channel 4 runs something called KOTV which is on in the early hours once a week but is mainly fights a week ro two old, and channel five used to run the ESPN friday fight nights at 2 am on thurs.

They now show classics such as benn / eubank etc and old US fights, theree was a great show on Sugar Ray Rob not so long ago.

Skysports is pants you get Friday fight night, but the majority of big fights are on Skyboxoffice and are only replayed about a week or 2 later. Recently there has been less and less Boxing on Skyports too.

Setanta dont show Boxing as regular, but they have nearly all the big fights and for a set fee...... Setanta is much better imo. I only like watching a few domestic fighters anyway i think most of the British onces are poor beside the likes of Napa,Appleby,Barker,Brook, and a couple of others.
