    My Abraham, Berto, Marquez Thoughts!

I still cant understand how could anyone pick Miranda to win that fight. When I watch both of these guys fight, they have always looked like there in different classes. I love Miranda but Ive always said that he's sortof like a black Mayorga and should always lose against a class guy. Ive always said that Abraham is like a German mix of Winky, Quartay, and Clottey. He is so much more highly skilled & fundementally sound then Miranda. On top of that, Miranda has a super weak chin for someone being as big and strong as he is. He always gets rocked. I still think that Miranda is a monster just like Mayorga is also but they should always lose to class fighters. I do wonder though if that Abraham style can work against Pavlik. He's going to cover up alot but Pavlik will be punching non stop, downwards, and straight down the pipe between the guard. I do though also think that when Abraham fires back out the guard that he could catch Pavlik alot with snapping blows. It should be a great fight but right now I go with Pavlik just because I think Abraham is too defensive at times and a class guy/big puncher like Pavlik can take advantage of it.

2- Berto is one of the hardest guys to put my finger on in boxing history. He is certainly explosive with mad skill but something about his footwork has always bothered me and what I think will keep him from being great. He doesnt move around the ring naturally. Its more like he'll just pick his feet up and just walk anywhere instead of stepping from side to side or circling. I dont like it and I think it could hurt him against a big time guy. The other problem is that the division is so deep that its hard to take a step up without fighting a very good guy. People think he can beat all these B fighters already but Im not sold. I would still be scared as hell to put him in with a guy like Collazo or Quintana. He may can beat Zab because Zab is also a guy with just consistentcy problems but its just a hard division. He certainly has the skills to be a good one but I just feel that something is missing.

3- I made a thread on here recently about Southpaws should be ranked lower and everyone ripped me for it. I may shouldve just said that a righty should be given more credit but I still think they would rip me either way. However, in the Marquez fight you saw what Im talking about. There is no way in hell that Marquez is better then that kid at all but that Southpaw stance gave that kid hell. If Marquez was orthodox then there is no way he wins that fight. Thats why I would never put my young guy in with a good southpaw at this stage of his career and thats also why Berto better not have his 1st step up against a guy like Collazo or Quintana because it is so dangerous to fight that style, e****ally for a young guy. A Southpaw has a huge advantage and its not the same as height or power, no matter what others try to say
