It was probably a legit DQ. IMO it wouldn't have really mattered Arreola was landing huge shots and Witherspoon was basically out on his feet. I don't think he would have lasted much longer in the next round.

His corner jumped into the ring, and tryed to help him to his corner, fighter can't be saved by the bell in any rounds, and chazz went down at the bell, so the ref did the standing 8 count, and his corner jumped in to help him to his stool, that is not allowed. It was realy the refs call, he had every right to stop it,( steel chose not to stop it when roger jumped in, but he had the right to do so)

Witherspoon was totally out on his feet and his corner entered the ring and put the stool in before the referee had finished the eight count. Going strictly by the rules, it was a good call, even though the ref could have stopped the fight with no protest anyway.
