Wow, Abraham looked strong as hell last night. Miranda wasnt' even able to open his guard with all those hooks and upper cuts. Every time he hit Miranda he hurt him, I thought Miranda was gonna KO him for sure, CONG**** to King Abraham!
Abraham Destroys Miranda…How Long Until Kelly Pavlik?

After the Lockett fight Pavlik didn't seem interested in AA when he was talkin to Kellerman. AA's win makes that fight a big one. AA looked good enough against Edison that US fans will wanna see the fight. They need to make it happen.Comment

I was very impressed with Abraham last night.Shocked that he did it considering that in the first fight Miranda dominated most of the fight but the point deductions hurt him.Well it seemed that way until you got the official scorecards that would have had AA winning a majority decision even with the deductions.Still he showed a lot of power last night although a case could be made that Pavlik ruined Miranda.Anyway a fight between Abraham and Pavlik is a must for the middleweight division.Even with the outstanding performance by Abraham last night I would still have to pick Pavlik to beat him and probably stop him.Comment

Why is a Pavlik VS Abraham fight such a big one all of a sudden??
By saying that you are giving Miranda credit really...at the end of the day we saw a bigmouthed KO artist who hasint really beaten anyone get KTFO!
All credit to AA but its just another gritty win against a resonable (questionably!) journeyman so to speak...I think a sudden step up to Pavlik could be a big mistake...dont get me wrong it might be a great fight but its not a sure thing that AA wont be another easy win for Pav.
Let him fight a resonably good fighter like this marquez or Mundine or someone to really prove himself and then make a big PPV payday with Pavlik.
Best of luck to him.Comment

Agreed, but Pavlik himself only has Taylor as a better win than Miranda so the two of them are hardly that far apart. The fight is seen as big for the simple reason that basically MW was crying out for someone to step up as a big threat to Pavlik, and Abraham managed an incredible performance on his American debut to emerge as exactly that. Miranda may not actually be that good, but the manner of the victory was awesome. Why is a Pavlik VS Abraham fight such a big one all of a sudden??

However...I'm not sure we will see this fight as quickly as some boxing fans might like. When the post-fight excitement dies down we will see that Abraham has not catapulted himself into the hearts of the American public, all of whom will be beating down pavliks door to make the fight, he will still, basically be unknown.
For such a risky fight, which will probably be Kelly's defining fight at MW, I'm sure Arum will want both Pavlik and Miranda to be more well known, so I think we'll see both of them fight a couple of opponents first, and at least once on the same card. Boxing promoters aren't ******.
I hope I'm wrong though and that we see the fight as soon as possible.Comment

AA isn't stepping up, he has been a champ before Pav. You check his resume, and his resume shows he is the goods. If anyone needs to step up, it is kessler. Who did he fight last night? A guy named "fart and his son"?Why is a Pavlik VS Abraham fight such a big one all of a sudden??
