What do you think of Arthur Abraham now?

PAvlik will be the favourite no doubt. But Arthur's never been hurt. He had his jaw broken and so what, a broken rib? I am sure he can live with that too. There will be more to a fight between these kids than sledgehammer head shots. Pavlik does fantastic body work, is very tenacious, and has a will of solid stainless steel. I think he'd be about a 3/2 favorite to win. If I had to pick right now, I'd say it'll be a body shot that wins the fight for Pavlik.Comment

What surprised me about tonights fight was that really, if you look at the recent records of Abraham and Miranda, there was really nothing to suggest that Abraham would do what he did, at least if we are to go on believing that Miranda is a genuine top level guy. I expected him to win, but I didn't expect that. I mean he basically KOd Miranda the second he decided he wanted to.Comment

I'm not a guy to brag. Honestly. BUT I SAID IT ALL THE TIME!!!!
(Actually I was always on the fence with this fight, but Pantera2000 bullied me into picking AA....

I doubt Pavlik can **** hard enough to break a rib, but any fighter can punch hard enough to bruise a liver, if they're accurate. Hard to fight through a bruised liver. It'll freeze you in your tracks. Abraham's tough, no doubt, so is Pavlik, and the biggest reason I'd pick Pavlik (only if forced to make a pick) is because of size. Yeah, I know, Miranda was bigger, too, but Pavlik is much bigger, is always in shape (that's part of Miranda's problem and in part why he lost tonight, isn't conditioned properly and is easier to hit in mid-rounds), and is a very good boxer. And I'm not saying Pavlik is a heavy favorite, just a slight go-ahead for either a decision (work rate), or a late TKO from a body shot. Either way, it'll be a great fight if it actually happens (and it should).Comment

Me either (well, maybe I am), but I picked this one nearly to the round. I had Abraham by brutal KO, 5th~7th. I didn't bet, but then it's a little pointless (pardon the pun) anyway.Comment

Check my sig, there is this guy that bet me that Abraham would go down. I'd take that bet with you and Pavlik any time. Abraham has never shown me that he was hurt and he's fought a lot. I'll bet against you that AA does not get stopped by Pavlik and I'll bet with smb else that he wins as risky as it is.I doubt Pavlik can **** hard enough to break a rib, but any fighter can punch hard enough to bruise a liver, if they're accurate. There is a greater chance that somebody stops Zaghe than somebody stopping Arthur.Comment

I follow what you are saying and it's a smart analysis but I can see Pavlik winning a ton of rounds then Abraham touches him and it changes the scope of the fight.I doubt Pavlik can **** hard enough to break a rib, but any fighter can punch hard enough to bruise a liver, if they're accurate. Hell. I've been wrong before but you're right in that Pavlik is always in good shape and works harder than Abraham.
I just don't know how Pavlik is going to deal if AA touches him good.
If he doesn't Pav can cruise to a UD.
I don't see the ko coming from Pavlik's side.Comment

You know Bat, I had never sen Abraham fight before this week, and had only seen Miranda against Pavlik, but I downloaded every fight of theirs that I could this week and watched them, and it wasn't that hard to make the call.
I had a few fears about it being in the states and at 166, but I still made my largest ever bets on this site and I am delighted, like you, to have been a winner.
Happy days, and I am definitely a fan of Abraham now, as someone else posted, he has a very unique style.Comment
