Before I say this, we need to agree that not necessarily the stronger guy is the bigger puncher right? Ndou, Bazan, Ceballos, Abdullaev, Mosley. My definition of the stronger fighter is that who can take your shots and still pressure you. Now, I know Margarito is better than most of those guys but my point is that Cotto doesn't necessarily need to outbrawl you, he can box as he did against those guys.

Yes, we can agree on that.

But the basis of an effecttive pressure fighter is that he can't be operating at a (significant) strength disadvantage. Notice how Hatton wasn't able to effectively pressure collazo, Urango?

Mosley - I don't think - was trying to 'pressure' him. Shane was down to slug because SSM knows he has the superior chin....and speed.

Hatton is a true example of a fighter who can only fight one way. It was pretty much the Floyd fight.

Against Gomez (not comparing Gomez to Margarito) you could see Cotto boxing and at times going after Gomez. That could be the difference in this fight. If you stand in front of Margarito to take his shots he'll kill you but Cotto can box which will make it an interesting fight.

I was impressed by how Cotto outboxed SSM late.

In a close fight, I think Tony will overtake Cotto in the late rds. This will get him the win, either by points or by KO.
