I saw him at live and he looked good. Is he a slow starter because he seemed like it. He needed to throw more often.

His oppnenot was really nice. I met him sitting at ringside when griffen was fighting. That guy had an amazing chin.

Oh ya? I worked the corner for valdez. He's a work in progress. There are things he still needs to work on but he's improving. But he has a nice resume so far. Hopefully he will continue to progress. thanks for coming out man!

And ya, he did start off a lil slow... i agree.

Yeah I saw you! I was like "Hey I think that's the guy that posts on Boxingscene." Was Jake there at the fight live too? I was right behind the guys on their laptops and wondered "I wonder which one is covering the fights for BS"

Did you see Perez's fight? God that was amazing.

haha ya, small world huh. I was wearing the hat. But not sure about jake to be honest. yes, i did see perez fight. it was really good back in forth action. Perez was a former sparring partner for Israel Vazquez too. I know him well, it's ashame he lost. But IMO it could of went either way. Good fight.

I wish I could've been there, I've been forever promising my man Bernie that I'd hit up an 8 Count show. I have at least two to choose from in the summer (July 11 and Aug 8 ESPN2 cards); the goal is to attend at least one of them.

I will be at the Memphis card tonight, for anyone going to that.

Man, I fell asleep and the Aragon is 4 blocks from my house. I watched the telefutura fights and was gonna head up there for Griffin and Kid Diamond but closed my eyes and next thing you know it was 10pm.

How did Griffin and Kid Diamond look? I was worried about my man Montel.

Griffin looked good actually. It was a fun fight to watch. He timed his jab really well when coming in and was throwing some good combos. He almost knocked Cummings out in round 2. Did he have enough to beat any other top elites at 175? Probably not, but it was a good performance.

Kid diamond looked a bit rusty in the first round. He had pretty good swaying tactics and basically teed off on the guy. Still if Martinez would have thrown more Diamond would have been in trouble. Whenever martinez threw combos Diamond didn't even try to counter back and looked old. Martinez blew out his shoulder in the end of the 3rd round I think so he had to quit.
