Grand Rapids, MI – After winning an Olympic bronze medal and belts in five different weight classes, Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently retired from the sport of boxing. Wasting no time outside of the ring, Mayweather will give the world a sneak peak of what comes next during an unforgettable weekend dubbed Round 13 “When the Gloves Come Off.” The weekend will celebrate him as a boxer and the city that ignited his career. "I want to personally thank all of my fans for their loyalty and dedication as my career comes to a close," Mayweather recently wrote. “I always keep in mind where I came from which is why I decided to have my retirement party in Grand Rapids.” July 4, 5, and 6 will be star studded with events, such as a concert, 70’s themed roller skating party, Mayweather produced film showing the world rare behind the scenes boxing footage, and Stars on the Grand a general admission festival in downtown Grand Rapids. All entertainment events will be available to the public. [details]
