Antonio Tarver- Overrated or underrated?

Tarver is UNDERRATED he took a 2-1 series against one of the best ever in RJJ and is still around making more then noise, he's an elite fighter at the 175 mark and has a chance to beat anybody. His only knocks is he came of the victoires of his life and wanted to be a movie star instead of boxer and got setback for that ****! I think he can beat anybody but Hopkins, Johnson or Taylor.. other then that Jones, Calzaghe and Dawson are fresh meat/1

He is OLD now. Why don't you dedicate on talking about younger fighters who are coming up and not just some walking mummy who is there just to make a fake yet to be determined bastard look good?

massively overrated by himself, and maybe just a tad underated by fans

he is a tad underrated but he is nowhere near the level he claims he is, he is mostly a b-level fighter but his southpaw stance and awkwardness mean that even he sometimes loses it makes him look better than he is and he is so awkward to beat. by no means a definete HOF - unlike calzaghe, jones, hopkins, etc

I love how he says that B-Hop built his name off of him, yet the only and I mean only, reason that we know who he is, is because he KO'd Roy!

I found it ironic that Tarver feels that he was under appreciated and was a great champ, just like his Character Mason "the line" Dixon in Rocky Balboa. Must have been an easy role for him to play..

Tarver might be somewhat underrated as he does hold wins over Roy Jones, Glen Johnson, Clinton Woods, Montell Griffin, Reggie Johnson and Eric Harding, the best fighters of the recent LHW era (which has been quite average) but people seem to think that Tarver's only accomplishment was his 'lucky' KO win over Roy Jones.

I don't see many who 'overrate' him, most fans seem to dislike him. The only one who overrates Tarver is Tarver himself.

His highest ever P4P ranking was number 10 after he KO'd Jones which isn't much.

i dont think hes overrated or underrated... nobodys claiming hes the best... i think hes viewed right where he should be..

hes obviously where hes at because of the roy KO... i think it was a lucky punch... but lucky or not.. he still did it.. and definitely deserves credit for it...

Tarver is so inconsistent, how can you tell? He's looked real good in his last 3 fights. I gave the opponents a total of 3 rounds out of 28 so that is pretty good. The only time I've really ever seen Tarver look BAD was against Hopkins. I thought he beat Johnson both times. I chose underrated. Especially when you see a guy like Dawson rated so highly.
