Unfortunately he is poisoned by being in protective Canada. He should get his ass out of here. Canadian fighters are protected fighters. They then try to give them a big push and they fail as soon as they fight a live top opponent.

Lucian Bute has not been overprotected at all.

He's fought:

1) the tough Sakio Bika in an eliminator, and was very impressive, dominating him in the later rounds.

2) the big puncher Alejandro Berrio, stopping him to win the IBF world title.

3) the very experienced Joppy (he was entitled to one relatively easy title defense)

4) Now he will fight his mandatory, the very tough iron-chinned Librado Andrade. I will bet 50,000 points Bute will win...

Lucian Bute is a world class fighter, one of the top two or three super middleweights in the world. He's promoted by Interbox. The Canadian fighters who have been overprotected, such as Molitor and Pascal, have different promoters than Lucian.

I will bet any amount of points that 1) Molitor will lose once he faces a world class opponent like Vasquez, Lopez or Marquez, and 2) Pascal will lose by stoppage to the very underrated Zuniga.

Bute is a southpaw and a very good technical boxer but he is not always on his toes. Therefore, Andrade will have his oppurtunities to get in some good damage and score with hard punches. Bute will have to get Andrade's respect by countering and making him think twice about coming in. This is a toss up fight and i really can't pick a winner as of yet, but Andrade is the best fighter that Bute has fought so he better be on his best game. I have a feeeling that Andrade will become one of my favorite fighters. Hes a beast in there and is willing to take some to get.

SMW is really going to hot up now. I haven't seen much of either of these two, but I hope Bute wins so that the title falls into the hands of someone who has not already lost to Kessler.

With the titles distributed the way they will be, surely we will have to see some unification bouts, SMW has been crying out for these guys to fight each other for a while, even before titles were involved. I will be very annoyed if they avoid each other.

Of course, if there were any justice in the world, all four champs would now spend the next decade freezing Jermain Taylor out of the title picture, asking "who has he beat at SMW, Lacy is a bum, its meaningless!"

Butes not koing Andrade, he'll win by decision but no way he can ko someone like andrade. Berrio has a suspect chin, and it took bute awhile before koing him. That was a beautiful ko by bute!!!
