So what division is Mayorga at?

He gave Vargas the size advantage an everything.. Vargas still couldn't make it. Many fighters would have called it off right then and there. What did Mayorga do? He said fine let him have another few pounds, I'll still kick your ass fat boy! And that is why I love Mayorga! Dude is crazy, doesn't give a f' and is entertaining as hell! I loved hating him during the DLH fight

I know that he failed a post fight test at that weight (DLH?). It was some type of dietary drug. When I get the chance I'll do a little research on it.Comment

because a fighter gets soo out of shape that he has trouble making weight doesn't mean that is their best competing or comfortable weight.. he hasn't grown into 160, he has fattened.
yeah, I never heard about the meds.. I wanna know more too!Comment

BOXING: ROUNDUP; Mayorga Tests Positive for Banned Substance
By CLIFTON BROWN
Ricardo Mayorga tested positive for a banned diuretic after his loss Saturday night to Oscar De La Hoya. Mayorga, who lost his World Boxing Council super-welterweight championship to De La Hoya, will probably be fined and suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Mayorga tested positive for furosemide, also known as Lasix, after he lost in a sixth-round technical knockout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
''It's a diuretic,'' Marc Ratner, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, said yesterday in a telephone interview. ''We don't know if he took it to help him lose weight. Or it could be something he took to mask something else. Either way, it's a violation.''
Ratner said he had not spoken to Mayorga about the test results. Mayorga, 32, could lose a substantial portion of his estimated $2.5 million purse from the bout, which generated more than $43.8 million in pay-per-view revenue.
Mayorga (27 victories, 5 losses, 1 draw) had threatened to pull out of the fight, saying that he felt slighted because De La Hoya had been guaranteed $8 million. Once the fight began, De La Hoya dominated, knocking down Mayorga in the first round and pummeling him throughout the bout.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has not scheduled a hearing on Mayorga's case.Comment

Maybe the ****er has diabetis lol. Who cares, I'd pay $49.95 to watch him at the weigh in rather than a whole 12 of "someone elses" fights.Comment

from wiki:
A diuretic is any drug that elevates the rate of urination (diuresis). There are several categories of diuretics. All diuretics increase the excretion of water from the body, although each class of diuretic does so in a distinct way....
In medicine, diuretics are used to treat heart failure, liver cirrhosis, hypertension and certain kidney diseases. Some diuretics, such as acetazolamide, help to make the urine more alkaline and are helpful in increasing excretion of substances such as aspirin in cases of overdose or poisoning. Diuretics are often abused by sufferers of eating disorders, especially bulimics, in attempts at weight loss.
guess he was having prob. making weight..Comment

I guess 160 is clearly the correct answer at this point.from wiki:
