we have seen so much talent come out from the island that we can pretty much tell our super stars from our mediocre fighters right off the bat;santos and cintron were always average champions and we always knew it.thats why he gets no props from us for beating cintron, and gives us a laughing question mark for losing to santos.....???????????please,cotto easy 12ud win.

Daniel Santos was a big dude with pretty good skills and a LOT of pop in his punch, plus he was a southpaw (i think). Gave Tony some problems, but Tony coulda won the fight had it not been stopped. But, listen here folks, that was at 154. This fight with Cotto is at 147, and Tony IS the BIGGER man here. He'll present some problems for Cotto that Cotto has not seen before. Cotto may feel like he can tackle any task now that he has beat a superstar and sure fire Hall of Famer in Sugar Shane, but Margo is a whole 'nother Animal. We won't know for sure until that opening bell rings in late July. And you may never here another bell in the fight, cuz Tony has been known to stop a fight or two in the opening stanza.

Santos should have been a top ten fighter, but he got clobbered by Kofi Jantuah and was never the same. Then he became a Don King/Showtime fighter and he was never heard from again. He had a promising future early on, too bad he couldn't capitalize on it. I watched him straight up Blitz some fools in his first ten fights. Got some of his early fights on video if anyone is interested.

Co-sign. Hell of a war in that fight but Santos got a hometown gift. It was 3-3 after 6 rds, but Tony was smokin him after that and took 7-9. If people want to talk about one of Tony's losses, they should talk about the Wiliams fight. Close but clear loss for Tony. He got ****in robbed in the Santos fight. Not surprised that Santos is backin his countryman tho.

I'll tell you this much Santos would probably knock out Cotto if they fought.
