is it just a joke?? maybe someone from wales can educate me but i dont see how this guy is so high on the p4p. i dont know almost no one he fought and the ones i do know are not good fighters or very old. also he does not fight like a true warrior. i have never felt excitement from the fights i have seen so far.

Excitement is one thing he does bring. Other than the Hopkins fight ofcourse. I don't know if you can find the Brewer fight but that was a hell of a fight. Kessler fight was exciting, Lacy was boring because it was a domination.

When you say he doesn't fight like a true warrior, what do you mean? Everytime he's been hurt he loads up the big punches and has stopped him opponent again other than the Hopkins fight. It might be the extent of you're boxing knowledge. Do you know who Mitchell, Woodhall, Bika, Kessler, Lacy, Reid are? There proberbly the most notable names you'll find on his resume.

From what I can remember only TWO fights i've ever seen Calzaghe in have been close. The Reid and the Hopkins fight. The longevity and some of the good names on his resume are the reason he's so high up just like Hopkins was.

Fighting like a "true warrior" and being exciting have never been the criteria for the P4P list. You could argue that Calzaghe is a little high on the list maybe but he definitely deserves to be on the list IMO. Like him or not, he is a special fighter.

The difference between the two is one of them has actually fought good opposition and has tremendous punching power and is very exciting to watch. Joe Calzaghe on the other hand is protected, punches softer then my 7 year old niece and ducks any real challenge.

No but the hype for Tye Fields is just like the hype for Margarito.
