    Calzaghe vs Kessler

OK watched this fight live, watching it back on the tape, what a beautiful boxing match, can you get two better atheletes going at it? it was such a high level fight, the technique the guys were throwing with was crazy. One of the best fights ive seen, yes there have been brawls that I love but from a pure boxing view this is one of the best fights ive seen, I became a fan of Kessler after this fight.

I enjoyed the fight. I thought at the time, and still do, that Kessler has the tools to beat Joe. Joe just broke him down mentally and Kessler is a little too one dimensional unfortunately. One thing has worked for him his entire career, he lacked the ability to adjust when it ceased to be effective. You are right though, a very good fight.

Same, i brought my holiday back by a day to go watch this fight and it was a really really good fight. The one shot i can recall the most is Kesslers uppercut in round 4 i think... truely devestating

It was a very good fight. Calzaghe adapted superbly and managed to confuse and disrupt Kessler's rhythm.

It was one of the best boxing matches of recent times and one of my favourite all time fights. Both guys put in career best performances IMO, notwithstanding Kessler's loss.

Critics of both fighters really should watch this fight to see what Calzaghe and Kessler have going for them because they put on an excellent show that few fights and few boxers today could match.

It's funny this thread was made, I watched the fight again just yesterday.

Very entertaining fight between two very good boxers. They were still both going for it in the last round.

Seems like this fight never got the attention it deserved, but it's one of my favorite fights to rewatch. Joe showed a lot of versatility in this fight, and I loved how Kessler came out like an animal in the 12th round. I think he shook Joe in the final 20 seconds with a big right hand. I scored the fight 116-113 (1st round even).
