Had Floyd Mayweather stayed at 140 and fought the best there, he would no doubt be an ATG. However, his career at 147 and 154 was all about money. He didn't fought Kostya or Cotto at 140, either.
American press is definitely biased, and I don't know if it's about race, country, or just plain old money under the table or good publicists.
