Got to give the devil his due, he is now securing a fight with Shane Mosely. Nobody in the entire sport has been able to consistently secure big fights like Mayorga. I used to really dislike Mayorga for all of his over-the-top insulting tactics and utter disrespect for all of his opponents and in many ways his disrespect for the sport. Now it is hard to dislike him for that, because look at how much money he has been able to make from it. There are much better fighters who make much much less that Mayorga. You just can't fault the guy for doing all this stuff when it has worked this well for him.
De La Hoya, Trinidad, Vargas, Mosely. Those are probably the 4 biggest draws in the 147-160 lb range in the past 5-10 years. Well, I guess Mayweather is a bigger draw than Mosely or Vargas, but still. Mayorga hasn't even consistently won at the top level and he has secured fights with ALL of those 4. Two fights with Forrest and 1 with Spinks didn't do to bad either.
