Lets all be honest. Outside of us boxing fans and those actually involved in the boxing industry there is a general claim made that "boxing is dying". Some people believe it, some are on the fence but personally I don't subscribe to that sentiment at all. If anything I think boxing is having one of its better runs as of the past two and a half or three years. We have lots of big fights being made, not just big fights but fights that everybody really wants to see. We almost have a perfect storm brewing of potential fights to be made and the list of them seems long enough to keep everyone quiet for a while. But that's just me though. I say boxing is on the up. So what or who do you blame for the current state of boxing?

Boxing is great at the moment, but the HW division is not. And historically it is the HW division that is the big ticket division for the masses. Whilst it is not healthy and the fights in it viewed as boring, there will be a common perception amoung general sports and casual boxing fans that the sport is struggling. -
"Boxing is dying" is some bs created by people who don't even watch the sport as an excuse to not cover it.Comment

Boxing isn't dying but it isn't what it once was. There are more than 1 factor that makes boxing what it is today.
1. Promoters.
2. Corrupt sanctioning bodies and their title belts.
3. No boxing on free TV.
I'm sure there are more factors I haven't thought about yet but boxing is not dying.Comment

Bring some hot ladies in....
I think they should let the hottest bikini-clad round card girls get more involved in the sport.
You know, interviewing the fighters in their rooms.
Announcing the fighters in the ring.
Assisting in the fighters' corners.
Conducting post fight interviews.
People gotta start thinking outside the box to give the sport some life again.
