Miguel Cotto & Antonio Margarito Speak On Eachother....

    Miguel Cotto:

“I am training very hard for this fight so that I can give my best on the night of the fight. I know what Margarito is capable of and I will be prepared.”

“One thing I want to tell you is that Tony (Margarito) told me that I have to train very hard for this fight. I told him that is not the case, because I always train very hard for all my fights, and you can see that if you’ve watched me fight. I will be ready.”

“I am thrilled to finally be fighting Antonio Margarito in the biggest fight of my career in Las Vegas, the fight capital of the world.”

“I am very happy about this fight. Finally, the fight that everyone wants to see has been made and Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito will face each other in the center of the ring.”

“We know what we’re capable of doing in the ring. Margarito knows what he has to do in his camp. I know what I have to do in my camp. We don’t have to talk trash about what we’re going to do.”

“This fight is going to be a real battle. When you put two warriors together, you will always get a good battle.”

“It’s going to be an explosive fight for both of us. Margarito has always been open to big challenges, just like me.”

“This rivalry (between Puerto Rico and Mexico) has always been good and appreciated by all the fans. We are going to make sure the rivalry is taken to the same level that many of the great fighters before us have done. I will make sure this chapter ends in favour of the Puerto Ricans.”

“What Floyd Mayweather does doesn’t interest me. He is just another name. I am moving on with my career and looking forward to fighting the best fights out there.”

“If Oscar De La Hoya wants to fight me, all he has to do is contact my promoter. I am interested in fighting the big names of the welterweight division… Right now we are focused on our fight with Margarito, but we are sure that we will be victorious in that fight.”

    Antonio Margarito:

“I will put pressure on Cotto, and he will back up. I don’t believe this is the most difficult fight of my career, but it is the most important. It will be a difficult and tough fight, but I believe I will come out victorious. I believe a win in this fight will open doors to bigger fights in the future.”

“This is a very important fight for the welterweight division that’s going to open doors for both of us. I think that both Cotto and myself are aware of the importance of this fight and the opportunities it could lead to. There are big names out there for the winner, like Oscar De La Hoya who has talked about coming back into the welterweight division.”

“I’m not much of a talker, I do my talking in the ring. I’m waiting anxiously for this fight just like everyone else. The crowd and fans will be there in support, but in the ring it is just me and Cotto.”

“I am sure Miguel Cotto will come with a very good strategy, but I will show him that I am a very tough fighter and that it will be very tough for him to be in the ring with me.”

“Mexico and Puerto Rico have a historic and proud rivalry. I remember back to the days of Julio Caesar Chavez vs. Hector Camacho. Those were my favorite fights in the rivalry. My fight with Cotto is for all boxing fans, especially those in Mexico.”

“I have the faith that I will win this fight and come out of it as champion.”

“At this point, Miguel Cotto is the only fight on my mind. I don’t think about Floyd Mayweather, or anything in the future. Now I am only focused on Cotto.”

“Something I learned from the Paul Williams fight was about starting off cold. I know I have to be more aggressive and that is what I am doing from now on.”

“Do not miss this fight, because I’m coming with everything I have. This is a fight not to be missed!”

Seen and read those quotes already but good **** from both men. Seems like they both respect each other and are aware of what each can bring to the ring, I like that. Cotto has always been respectful in conferences and interviews and so has Tony, classy men ready to get their hands dirty in the ring. GO "El 7 MARES"!!!!!!!
