vera is a sturdy c class fighter who showed a lot of improvement in his tko of Lee but Jermaine would handle him.

....Vera just isn't that good. He has almost no defense, He continues to keep his hands low even after his corner advices him not to do so repeatedly....a little too ambitious right now. Challenging Taylor at this point is biting off more than he can chew.

Taylor should use him as a tune up for whoever he's eyeing, it wouldn't hurt his record

The Little Rock NBC affiliate just showed Taylor sparring with Ozell Nelson's nephew, middleweight Jonathan Nelson (3-0), to prep Nelson for his fight on the undercard of the June 21 HBO card in Memphis.

                    1. Jermain was sparring with his shirt off and looked about 185-190 lbs. Not fat, just not his usual cut-up, abs of steel look.

                    2. They reported that Jermain said wants to fight twice before the year is over; a tune-up in October and against Jeff Lacy in December.

Brian Vera better watch his mouth or he may get his wish after all... a boxing lesson at the hands of Jermain Taylor.

I'm sure Taylor is running from a guy that just beat Andy Lee and got knocked out in 2 by Codrington.
