Do you guys agree with this about KPavlik

    Off his official website...
"Pavlik has the highest KO percentage of any Undefeated Middleweight Champion in history. 6 of his last 7 opponents had never been Knocked Out. Pavlik Knocked out all of them.

Boxing enthusiasts are encouraged to match Pavlik’s record of 34-0 with 30 KOs against any great KO artist from the past. Pavlik is early in his reign but he has already established himself as one of the greatest Knock Out Artists of all time. "

    His site is, http://www.teampavlik.com/home.html

i dont consider him a KO artist. He has some spectacular KO's, but nearly all of them were from wearing his opponent down big time before setting him up for the KO.

Guys like Julian Jackson were KO artists. One punch and it was over. Pavlik couldnt get rid of locket in round 1 cause he isnt a HUGE puncher, he is just very heavy handed. Jackson coulda gotten rid of Lockett in seconds. not because he is better, but because he is a KO artist

the website says "Middleweight Champion" of all time though. Also says "undefeated" so that narrows down the list quite a bit too

A very good post. A clear difference between what a ko artists is and a guy who gets ko's. Good post. Guys, check out the record of carlos zarate. Google it if you can. lol Phenomenal.

Its kind of wierd to say pavlik isnt a Ko artist. The word artist in itself implies variation. Just cause he knocks out people from wearing them down doesnt change the fact that they are knocks outs. yes most of them are from accumulation but that is STILL a valid method of knocking someone out just as valid as waiting for a perfectly timed punch or throwing as many bombs as you can.

Vitali Klitschko has the highest KO% of all-time for a HW Champion. Like Pavlik most of Vitali's KO's were from wearing down his opponent instead of just one punch.

Those guys that wear you down, they hurt you worse. Look at Pavlik's and Kilitschko's victims, they look like a bulldozer run them over in a grave yard.

Doesn't matter if a KO comes from wearing a guy down like Pav and Cotto or if you have one punch KO power.. It's still the art of KO IMO.
