Floyd didn't start what you call "cherry picking" until he got to 147 lol. At 147, guys wanted to take easy fights, until they got a shot at floyd. Once Paul Williams said he would fight Margs, that got the ball rolling. Now these guys can do what floyd did. Make their bones instead of waiting in line. Maybe when the dust settles, Floyd will unretire to fight the best of the bunch. People forget that floyd has had a whole career basically before 147 or almost.
Roy Jones fought pretty much fought everyone at 175 with the exception of DM who didn't want to come to America and vice versa for roy. And along comes tarver. Physically fresh and beating the same guys roy beat, but they weren't the same guys fighting when roy beat them. Roy beats ruiz, comes back down to LH, and is lucky to beat tarver. Roy rematches, and the rest is history. He was never the same. And this is the great roy jones who people said was finally exposed. Forgetting what he had to put his body through. And people wonder why Roy is bitter towards his critics. You all must've forgot. lol
Floyd has seen what can happen when a guy stays fresh, and has not fought any true battles. He said it himself, had roy retired, he could've gone down as big. I'm glad that cotto is fighting margs. Thanks to Floyd retiring, these WW's are fighting each other. Throw in Bberto, and you have an imitation duran, hearns, sugar, benitez, and hagler lol. How many times have we as fans said that this fighters hasn't been beat up, and he still is fresh for a fighter his age undefeated or not? Countless times.
