He did fight the best. Always. He just didn't fight Cotto. He didn't fight Hatton at 140 (or anyone because he jumped over it) but fought him at 147. I think is is truly great. Just modern day, boxing needs a change in rules so it can be what it once was. Fighters HAVE to stay undefeated to have a market, once they lose the 0 they lose 50% of their marketability with it.

You can't really say Floyd didn't fight the best when he didn't duck anyone but two fighters, Margarito and Cotto. Margarito is understandable, he had some losses before and would get discredited right after Floyd beat him (like Gatti was). Cotto, well he was not known enough and easily discredited as Margarito. What can you really say about a Cotto, once he loses? You can say he was overrated, you can say Mosley was 36 and past it and Zab was shot. You can say he is matched like a prospect but he's almost 28 years old (i recall you Floyd was fighting Chico Corrales at 23). So in a business sense Floyd made sense.

I'll remember him as a great fighter who could've proven himself as an ATG by beating the top people

Well, it...it got a little personal, but this is a business, I'm here to sell myself.

I love being the bad guy...

I don't care what anyone says about me as long as I can go home and kiss my kids at the end of the day...I'm happy...

Me and my dad agreed it would be best if we split, so I went with my Uncle Roger...

I would love to fight cotto, but deep down, he knows he can't beat me...

Gatti is a C level fighter, he isn't in my class...

(Speaking to margs and translator) I would love to fight you later on down the line, you are a good fighter, I respect you...

Nobody knows Cotto...I want big money fights, how can I get them if nobody knows these guys???

He called out mosley for years.

                  He fought Judah.

Casa was showtime when Mayweather was hbo (same with Popo).

Zoo was out most of the time, then he HAD to fight Mitchell, then he lost to Hatton.

Try again, better luck next time.

As for my quote, it is really sad and I hope it gets contradicted by new fighters rising and showing that type fo skills and dedication.

The last of the old school.

I will always think of that scared little boy, the product of a ***********al family, who ran from real competition and sat in his chair when Margarito towered over him asking for the fight.
