    true.

but much harder for a 5'10 guy who has to get inside than say a 6'3-4 guy that can slug outside.

Before the McCline fight, I would have picked Peter to win a UD or close SD over Tua, but after seeing him getting bullied around by McCline and rocked by ancient Maskaev, I think Tua takes him in 6.
He'd be tough for Haye, that's for sure. Man if Tua didn't have the misfortune of being matched with that beast Ibeabuchi, Lennox Lewis and a prime Chris Byrd, he'd have gotten a title long ago.

the ibeabuchi fight didn't hurt him.

lennox being in his prime (skillwise and physical prime) when tua was in his prime was unfortunate.

the byrd fight was the one that hurt. i know it was tournament for the ibf belt but they should've avoided him. bad style matchup. chris makes bigger , faster guys miss and look silly. he actually had the reach and height advantage over tua. tua is at his best against guys that **** with him.

His wins over Izon, Oquendo, Rahman Maskaev were very good because they made Tua dig really deep and he made it trough at the end. There's too much controversy in the Rahman win, so I'd say Maskaev for best fighter he beat, But Izon really brought out the best in young Tuaman.

can't say it better than that.

ruiz ko was the most spectacular and the fact that ruiz went on to become multiple champ makes it even more amazing.

i don't know how people vote for moorer. maybe their just basing their vote on name recognition. the moorer he ko'd in 1 was a shell of his former self. moorer was out of shape , past prime , old and was just fighting for a paycheck. add the fact his chin isn't the best and he's lazy in his later fights the ko was not unexpected.

the best tua was around 220-225 lbs. , before he got fat and lazy. the prime tua can be seen in the ruiz , ibeabuchi , maskaev , izon fights.
