Kessler is obviously the better fighter and he is better known.

    Quality of the matchups??

Pavlik vs Rubio - Pavlik by brutal KO

Pavlik vs Kessler - entertaining competitive slugfest, could go either way.

The answer to your question is pretty god damn obvious.

Well Kessler is the better fighter, so of course him. Is he willing to fight Pavlik at 160 though?

Pavlik just won his titles so there is no reason for him to jump ship from middleweight right now. Calzaghe was a very big fish so it would have been worth a fight at 168. Once Kessler reestablishes himself as the top dog at 168 he will then be worth a trip for Pavlik.

Unless you're in a huge hurry to see Pavlik lose, I don't see any reason for him to leave 160 right now.

The anti-Kessler people are just dumb Americans that are predjudiced against European fighters.

I'm a huge Pavlik fan, but I think Kessler beats him.
