    ****** scoring question...

I rarely if ever see a round scored a tie by judges. I'm not talking about any knockdowns or point deductions. Just a round that is a solid good round for both fighters.

If so is that ruled a 10-10 round or a 9-9 round?
Why do they never score tie rounds in real close fights? My only assumption is that it could make them seem like an indecisive judge and may ruin their credibility.

    It's usually 10-10

In olden days they scored more even rounds. You'd often see scores of 8-5-2
    win/lose/draw in 15 round fights.
If a round is even, I think they should call it even. Too many judges feel they have to give the round to one or the other fighter.

Even rds are 10-10. It rarely happens cuz it would indeed make them look indecisive. There's always a way to decipher a close rd depending on your scoring style. Harder punches, most punches thrown/landed, who was comin forward, sumthin.

I don't know why they don't do it anymore, most just think they have to score it to one fighter or the other.
