Is Amir Khan ready for Nate Campbell?

While I am a big Amir Khan fan, Campbell is not a good match up for him. At 135 Khan is the future and Campbell is the present. I would like to see Khan fight the winner of Diaz/Katzidas. The Campbell/Guzman winner fight the Marquez/Cassamayor winner. And then fight the big fight in late 2009. Maybe even a showdown with Pacman in early 2010.

No, he isn't. He needs time to work on a few things before stepping into the ring with the top guys.

Al Qaeda would get dominated by Nate Campbell, Manny Pacquiao or Joan Guzman.

he is not at this stage, he needs to step up his competition if he ever wants to win a title at lightweight.

For me Khan can already do things that virtually no-one else in the division can do. He is fast, accurate, can throw beautiful shots and combos, I mean, show me the fighter who wouldn't want Khan's natural gifts.

Basically the question of whether he is ready or not really comes down to his chin. His offensive game is up there with the best and the only real question about him is whether or not he can take a shot. You could talk about defense, but at the end of the day, as a boxer you're going to get hit flush sometime, it even happens to Mayweather occasionally. That being so it's what Khan will stand or fall on, and there is little he or anyone can do to try and 'improve' it.

If we keep waiting then Khan may never be 'ready'. Offensively he has the tools to overwhelm virtually anyone, it all comes down to if he can take a shot to do it. I say make the fight, and lets find out. If he has to be exposed let it be in a high grade fight for a world title, not some lesser fight taken in the name of 'improvement'.

Yeah he can handle just about every stand up European lightweight in the world.

An American slickster with head movement and good footwork will throw his game off. Khan has very little pro experience on the world stage. He's been in with a lot of handpicked Frank Warren guys.

I have been to the Dominican a couple times and the people are not this ignorant. Guzman is good but hasn't proved he is worthy yet of being named with Pacman.

I'm really not sure, but fair play on him wanting to take on the challenge, can't fault him for that

I would put my money on that ********* being crushed by Campbell, Pac or Joan.
