Erm didn't Calzaghe choose to fight RJJ not Pavlik? So how can he fight Calzaghe?

I think Calzaghe should have fought Pavlik too. Difference is that JC is at the end of his career, been champ for ten years, beat the two young, prime champs that the division had to offer. Beat the man at the next divison too. Taking on Pavlik would be a nice fight, but it wouldn't prove anything. He's taking RJJ for the money because he's in a position too. I would prefer him to take on Pavlik but thats just the way it is.

Pavlik right now is in the same position Joe was in years ago, a new champ with a job to do. Winky isn't the absolute worst fight imaginable (see Lockett) but Abraham and Kessler would be better. So would JC.

How can Wink offer Pavlik a payday? Pavlik has a bigger fan base because he is a much more exciting fighter. Winky is the better boxer with a horrific fan base and no power.
