do english people who support calzaghe also support wales when they play rugby or football?. calzaghe is proud welshman, yet when he has success he immediately becomes british insteads of just welsh, so english can claim him as theirs even though he is proud to be welsh. maybe it is the media`s fault i dont know

Basically, here in the UK most of us find we are not riven in two by arbitrarily defined ethnic groupings that don't mean jack ****.

he does not consider himself english in any way. he considers himself completely welsh, i have never seen him bring english flag to ring with him when he fights

ok fair enough. its just when it comes to football i hear english say things like "sheepshaggers" and other things so i thought there is rivalry, maybe i am wrong

Well, we have a fairly confused national identity. I would support England if they played Wales or Scotland in rugby or football, but in other sports where we compete as Britain, i.e. Athletics or to a lesser extent, tennis (Andy Murray is Scottish) then I support the British guy. Likewise in football, after England I would support Scotland or Wales, even Ireland. There is rivalry between the 'home nations' but in general we are all Brits. I think so anyway.

He ducks the top competition, look at his padded record in super middle weight division. He's been undefeated for so long because of his bs resume, he has no one on his resume who can compare to Kelly Pavlik at all!!! What a shot Hopkins who nearly beat him??
