    Who is Christian Mijares?

I've been seeing his name on the forums every once in while..
As a boxing fan, I try to do my research on a fighter by watching their fights..
Unfortunately, there aren't any fights of his on youtube..

I checked out his record.. I saw only 2 recognizable names..

    Luis Maldonado
    Jorge Arce

    Is this guy any good?

Mijares is currently number ten in Ring Magazine's Pound for Pound list. He is the unified WBA/WBC super flyweight champion. He beat Jorge Arce and Alexander Munoz handily. He's a tall 115 pounder at 5'6 and has a very good workrate.

His only weaknesses are sometimes he gets with wide punches and he doesn't have 1 punch power.

Its no different from what Arce was doing at 108. If you find the opportunity to grab a title in a big fight, go for it. Donaire is moving up in his next fight.

Personally I don't think he is worth of a top 10 p4p ranking considering he hasn't done THAT much yet and not the best at featherweight either but that's my view.

EDIT: i got mixed up personally I think Montiel MIGHT be able to beat him but i;m not 100% sure

He fights at 115, not 126.

He'll be fighting head trauma after I'm done with him
