The US 1984 squad was hands-down the most talented squad ever produced by the US.
As a celebration of me getting to 2K posts I'll pass a beer to the first who post the correct reason as to why Holyfield didn't get to the final.Comment

Actually he got disqualified but he shouldn't have. The ref ****ed up.
I can't remember exactly punching after the break or something like that.
He coulda been a gold medal winner.
Damn shame.... then they got Roy at the next Olympics with that hometown decision in Seoul where he beat the breaks off of the Korean guy but lost.Comment

He knocked the guy out, the ref counted him out, then he turned to holyfield and DQ'd him.
Great Olympic team by FAAAAAAAAAAr.
Meldrick Taylor was on the team to. Parnell Whitaker to i believe, so many great fightersComment

Holyfield was DQ'ed for a low blow. It's in the vid below. The vid doesn't show a lot tho. The way I remember it Holyfield has had several warnings before the DQ.

It wasn't a low blow, it was a punch on the break. I think he would've won the gold if it hadn't been for the DQ, which I thought was uncalled for.Ok jreckoning. The beer goes to you.
