Didn't even read the article because anyone who follows boxing knows Cal has been fighting mostly young and hungry fighters the past 3 years. I mean come on give him credit he took on Lacy, Bika, Manfredo (although he's obvioulsy ****) and Kessler.....all up and coming hungry fighters.....compared to Floyds comp the last couple of years it stellar and I hardly think he's picking on old guys. He desrves some nice paydays against big names young or old at this point...He's earned it.

Calzaghe is making a huge mistake, the longer he waits the better chance of Pavlik is at destroying him. Why would he do this ****, or is he going to pull a ***** move and fight roy and retire and be labelled as a good but not a great boxer.

Bull****. Pavlik is proven. Kessler and Lacy were largely unproven; that is they had not beaten any great fighters, and Lacy hasn't done anything of note since either.

What annoyed me is THIS IDIOT Calslappy thinking he's Mr. big shot now. Saying **** like this and I quote "I'm not sure if Pavlik really wants to face me at the moment. He would have little to gain because I believe I would definitely beat him and, with respect to Gary Lockett, I would be a step up too far for Pavlik." What a ****in idiot. Now I hope Roy pounds this guy into submission.

My stance on this is pretty much the same as the Mayweather/DLH fight. While I would rather see Calzaghe/Pavlik, I completely understand why he's fighting RJJ. More money, bigger name. Anyone in his position would do the same thing.

He'd beat Pavlik the same way he beat Kessler.....IMO. I'm not saying he shouldn't fight Pavlik, I'm just saying I wouldn't give him to hard of a time if he didn't. He's earned the right to fight who he wants at this point. I'd like to see him fight Tarver...both old and very good.

Haha, "he would have little to gain because I believe I would definitely beat him", have you ever heard such nonsense? I guess if every fighter thought like this there would never be competitive match-ups. He should leave Jones alone. Not only boxing fans, but most mainstream fans too, now appreciate that Roy is a fading force in the sport, he had to wheel out an inactive blown-up Trinidad to look good against, in his fights prior to them he still looked shaky, the truth is his reflexes are not what they were, he takes many punches (even against Tito he took many punches, I had him down at the half way stage), and his punch resistance is seriously questionable. Calzaghe should fight the man of the moment, Pavlik

And I agree, He has no right to put a fighter down and say he's not worthy after fightin Manfredo.....but I do think he's earned the right to decide who and whn at this point.
