    Pavlik Is No Jeff Lacy

-Pavlik is actually a top 10 Pound-for-Pound fighter. Jeff Lacy was never even close.

-Pavlik's wins over Miranda and Taylor are better than anything Lacy has done in his entire career. Before the Calzaghe fight, Lacy was struggling with guys like Omar Sheika for Christ's sake.

-Pavlik has power, but he's not one dimensional like Lacy. Pavlik has a great jab, good overall boxing skills, and he can use his feet if needed.

Calzaghe continues his cherry picking ways by ducking Pavlik. This guy is a disgrace to boxing by continually fighting overmatched mandatories, hype jobs, and washed up names.

Pavlik wasn't a Top 10 P4P after the Taylor wins, so what makes you think he is after the Locket win?

I like Pavlik, and i'm not a fan of Calzaghe, but nothing you said in the post is fact.

Pavlik was top 10 after the second taylor fight...please educate yourself, he is currently #7 in the ring rankings because floyd retired and everyone below floyd moved one place up, pavlik went from 8 to 7 because of the retirement, he was 8 after beating jermain taylor for the second time after wins over taylor in the first and edison miranda

Agreed for once, but be careful not to be a hypocrite and vastly overrate Pavlik. I'm a big fan of his and I half hope he beats Calzaghe (should they ever fight) for the future of boxing, but he aint proved enough yet to get the hype he's getting.

Who has he beat of any quality? Miranda: easiest boxer to hit in the history of boxing. Overhyped as a 'beast' because of his power. Taylor: good victory, but hardly great considering A) how close Taylor came to losing against the likes of Cory Spinks and B) how close Pavlik got to being knocked out. He was losing that fight till the knockdown too.

You're a fantastic satirical account btw.

I have Calzaghe in my current p4p list above Pavlik b/c of his long title reign, undefeated record and resume. However, Calzaghe looks like he's ducking Pavlik by selecting past prime Roy Jones, Jr, who btw hasn't had a significant win in years. Bad move by Calzaghe...

                Joe hasn't ducked anyone.

He has not ruled himself out of the Pavlik fight at all, that article is bull****.

It was quoted from BBC sport, which quoted it from the South Wales Argus.

Funny as it may seem, I read the original article today in work, and Joe said he is no more likely to fight Pavlik than RJJ.

That's all, nothing more, nothing less.

So I'm guessing you think that the Lacy that fought Calzaghe would be an easy fight for Pavlik?

sin is a ****, but the thing i find most disturbing is the amount of fat yank ****s who support the biased threads that this piece of **** comes up with.
