Okay, I know he gave Paul a rematch but he really doesn't deserve one himself. Just because you were champion or you offered one in the past doesn't give you the right to demand another fight. Paul was outboxed on a bad night by Quintana and I respect that. Paul also made the fight competitive and deserved a rematch. On the other hand Quintana was ko'd and made into cube steak quick. If you get destroyed you shouldn't be given a pass to win your belt back! Get back in line Quintana and fight berto, prove yourself, and then go back and get Williams.
Quintana doesn't deserve a rematch

Quintana just got caught by a lucky shot by Williams...
STFU, your boy got his ass beat....and Quintana should be given the opportunity to prove the same you freak lovers say that lanky bastard proved on the last fight..... -
I don't particularly want to see a Williams-Quitana rematch but I think Williams should return the favor and give him a rematch nevertheless. Also, does anyone know if there was a rematch clause in the contract?...Comment

he deserves a rematch, he manned up and gave williams an immediate rematch, he beat williams soundly in their first fight, without a doubt, and he got caught by a punch early and with a dude like williams it's tough to get out of that situation without getting stopped. there would be nothing wrong with a trilogy between these two. quinatana could've held onto the belt like most of these guys today and not have given a rematch and could've stringed williams along, but he didn't, he wanted to prove that he was the man, he fell short, i think it's not only right and fair, but i think that it says something about ones character if williams were to grant a rematch. i'm not saying that quintana will beat williams or anything to that nature, what i am saying is there should be a level of class and respect amongst fighters and honor in boxing when it comes to title shot rematches. if williams beats him again the same way, then thats the way it is, he wins two out of the three, but the fact of the matter is they're one and one, lets make it best out of three, it makes sense. there are a lot of match ups afterwards that would be available after the others fight and get their rest..............but quintana does deserve a rematch.Okay, I know he gave Paul a rematch but he really doesn't deserve one himself. i was referring to the fact that he got caught by a good left hand early in the round, there was a lot of time left, and with a whirl wind of a fighter with williams, it's tough as hell to get out of the round.
a rematch is only right, best two out of threeComment

If Quintana just got caught with a lucky punch, then Paul just had a bad night in the first fight.
I think Williams has his number now.... I say **** the rematch for now. Williams should fight the Marg/Cotto winner first. Quintana wouldn't have even given Paul a rematch if he didn't have to. If Carlos wins a couple fights then he gets a shot.Comment

I don't think there was another rematch clause since the fight was the result of a rematch clause.
I'd rather see Williams fight the Cotto/Margarito winner.Comment

its one to one. quintana deserves a rematch to redeem himself just like williams deserved one. each fighter embarrassed the other in their own way. **** what contracts say. man up and give the dude a rematch. may not be immediately, but do it.Comment
